Why this role exists
Peak Atlas combines learning content, software, advice, hands-on execution and community. That creates many different contractual relationships: with customers, partners, service providers and employees. As a young stock corporation in its build-up phase, we need someone who thinks about legal questions early, assesses risks honestly and helps teams decide quickly and still properly.
Your outcomes
- Clear contract templates for the most important customer, partner and supplier relationships.
- A traceable process for how teams raise legal questions and get answers.
- Honestly assessed risks with a clear recommendation rather than a list of concerns.
- Well-prepared collaboration with external law firms where specialist knowledge is needed.
Your day and scope
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts, answering questions from Sales, Partnerships, Product and People, shaping terms and conditions and consent texts, supporting the corporate processes of the AG and working closely with privacy and compliance. You write so that non-lawyers understand what to do.
Boundaries: You own internal legal advice and contract management. Business decisions are made by the accountable owners; highly specialised matters and litigation are coordinated with external law firms where needed.
Your first 90 days
First 30 days
Get to know the business model, offers and existing contracts; name the most pressing legal topics and template gaps.
By day 60
Introduce the first revised templates and set up a simple request and approval route for contracts.
By day 90
Run a reliable rhythm for contract review and advice and present a prioritised overview of open legal risks.
What you bring
- A completed law degree; typically the second state exam and admission as a lawyer or in-house lawyer (Syndikusrechtsanwalt), or willingness to obtain it.
- Hands-on experience in contract law, ideally in a B2B or software environment.
- Pragmatic judgement: assessing risks rather than blocking everything.
- Clear, understandable communication in German.
What you can learn with us
- Our portfolio and customer situations in detail.
- Specific areas such as platform or stock corporation law in depth.
- Our internal tools and processes.
When this role is less of a fit
You mainly want to write legal opinions without supporting operational teams, or you are looking for a role in an established legal department with narrowly defined specialist matters.
Compensation and conditions
We only commit to compensation, contract type, working hours and location once they are approved. We will tell you all of it concretely in the first call, before you invest time in further steps.
Your application process
Short application
Name, email and your answer to the role's entry question. CV optional.
First call
A personal conversation about the role, conditions and your questions. We cover compensation and location concretely here.
Work sample
An announced, time-bounded review of a fictional cooperation agreement: the three most important risks, concrete wording suggestions and a short recommendation for non-lawyers. No real contract, no unpaid work. People assess prioritisation, clarity and pragmatism.
Decision
A person decides, never an AI. You always get a response.
Your entry question
„Shortly before an important meeting, a partner sends their own draft contract with an unlimited liability clause. How do you proceed – legally and in the conversation with the team?“
