Building upCustomer SuccessMake customers successful

Head of Customer Success

Build Customer Success at Peak Atlas as a function of its own – with clear processes, honest signals and a team that genuinely moves entrepreneurs forward.

Why this role exists

Peak Atlas combines knowledge, tools, guidance, execution and community. Whether that works for customers only shows after the deal: in onboarding, in how Peak One is used and in offers such as the Sales Gym. This role makes sure customer success does not depend on individual heroics but becomes a system that grows with the company.

Your outcomes

  • A documented customer lifecycle from hand-over through onboarding to renewal.
  • Traceable health and risk signals per customer that the team acts on.
  • Clear roles and hand-overs between Customer Success, Implementation, Support and Sales.
  • A regular feedback loop through which customer experience improves product and offer.

Your day and scope

Setting priorities and ways of working for the function, holding customer conversations yourself, supporting escalations, aligning definitions and hand-overs with Sales, Product and Revenue Operations, and condensing customer insight. Later on, hiring and developing further roles in the function is part of it too.

Boundaries: You own building and running customer success, onboarding and support. New business and product decisions sit with the respective roles – you bring the customer perspective to them in a binding way.

Your first 90 days

  1. First 30 days

Get to know customers, offers and past hand-overs; talk to existing customers and name the biggest gaps in the customer lifecycle.

  2. By day 60

Agree a first target process with owners and health signals and put it into daily use.

  3. By day 90

Run a steady management rhythm for the function, show first evidenced improvements and present a reasoned plan for further build-up.

What you bring

  • Several years of experience in customer success or account management for business customers, ideally SMEs.
  • Experience building processes rather than only running them.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Clear communication in German, including in difficult customer conversations.

What you can learn with us

  • Peak One and our offers in detail.
  • Our internal systems and definitions.

When this role is less of a fit

You mainly want to manage an existing large team, or you are looking for a role without customer conversations of your own.

Compensation and conditions

We only commit to compensation, contract type, working hours and location once they are approved. We will tell you all of it concretely in the first call, before you invest time in further steps.

Your application process

  1. Short application

Name, email and your answer to the role's entry question. CV optional.

  2. First call

A personal conversation about the role, conditions and your questions. We cover compensation and location concretely here.

  3. Work sample

An announced, time-bounded task: for a fictional customer portfolio you sketch a customer lifecycle with health signals and three priorities for the first months. People assess clarity, prioritisation and realism. No work with real customer data.

  4. Decision

A person decides, never an AI. You always get a response.

Your entry question

„In a young company, how would you tell whether a customer is on a good path – before there is any renewal data?“
