Analytics Engineer

Turn the data in Peak One into reliable, understandable metrics that product, sales and customer success can depend on.

Why this role exists

Peak One runs on one shared data model – a single reality instead of many copies. To turn that into good decisions, we need clean definitions, tested transformations and reports everyone reads the same way. Otherwise teams argue about numbers instead of actions.

Your outcomes

  • Documented, agreed definitions for core metrics.
  • Tested, traceable data models for analysis.
  • Reports that product, sales and customer success actually use day to day.
  • Visible data quality with clear ownership when something breaks.

Your day and scope

Clarifying requirements with business teams, writing and testing transformations, documenting definitions, building reports and chasing discrepancies. You work closely with platform engineering on the data model. You handle personal data sparingly and within approved access rules.

Boundaries: You own the layer between raw data and decisions: models, definitions, tests and reports. Running the platform itself and the teams' business decisions sit with other roles.

Your first 90 days

  1. First 30 days

Learn the data model, existing reports and the teams' open questions; identify the most important conflicting metrics.

  2. By day 60

For one clearly scoped area, agree definitions, build tested models and deliver a shared report.

  3. By day 90

Run a repeatable process for new metrics, data quality checks and documentation.

What you bring

  • Strong SQL and clean data modelling.
  • Testing and documenting as a natural part of the work.
  • Ability to turn business questions into robust definitions.
  • Care in handling personal data.

What you can learn with us

  • Our data model and its business logic.
  • Specific tools in our environment.

When this role is less of a fit

You only want to design dashboards without caring about definitions and data quality, or deliver numbers without talking to the people who use them.

Compensation and conditions

We only commit to compensation, contract type, working hours and location once they are approved. We will tell you all of it concretely in the first call, before you invest time in further steps.

Your application process

  1. Short application

Name, email and your answer to the role's entry question. CV optional.

  2. First call

A personal conversation about the role, conditions and your questions. We cover compensation and location concretely here.

  3. Work sample

An announced, time-boxed task with a synthetic dataset: define an unclear metric, sketch a small tested model and explain your assumptions. No real customer data, no unpaid work for Peak Atlas. People assess clarity, care and traceability.

  4. Decision

A person decides, never an AI. You always get a response.

Your entry question

„Two teams report different values for the same metric. How do you find out why, and how do you stop it from happening again?“
